Contract is finally upgradeable!
05May11
I've been waiting for this day a long time... my mobile phone contract is finally available for upgrade!
That's the problem with these huge 18 and 24 month contracts you have to get if you want a decent smartphone and an equally decent contract, they drag on forever!
I got an iPhone 3GS what feels like a lifetime ago, and now I can upgrade to the iPhone 4 (now available in white - yay!) and get a new contract. I'm definitely going to get 18 months, not 24 or more, but I want the 32 GB model rather than the 16 GB because I'll use it for music.
The bigger memory phone is a fair bit more expensive than I have, so I might get a Wonga.com until I get paid next week so I can just order it and get it in the post on its way to me as soon as possible - I've been waiting for this day for too long!

12Apr11
Remember the guy who took a photo of himself every day for 6 years and made it into a YouTube video?
Well now you can do the same with the 'Everyday' app for iPhone.
It's a fairly simple concept, you take a photo of yourself every day. But what's great is that you can set reminders within the app to make sure you remember. There's a grid inset so your photos line up, and when you've got a lot (or a few) photos you can make it into a movie, and watch your face change over time.
I'm going to try this out, I'll definitely be setting the reminders so I don't forget but I can't wait to see the final outcome, it should be really worth it. I'd love to do this with a baby from newborn every day until it's a toddler, or maybe for even longer - that would show so many changes!
P.S. Watch out for Noah Burden in this video - the original self portrait video maker!
